RYAN COKE Recorded: April - September, 2008 And then there emerged...the first. Formerly the drummer of small-town rock group, The Peach Bottoms, Ryan Coke has ventured on a journey entirely of his own. Always appreciative of such composers as Frank Zappa and Danny Elfman, Ryan decided long ago to have his very first solo release be an instrumental one, for three reasons:
Long story short... Ryan Coke began showing interest in drums at a young age, banging on school drum kits, plastic children's drums, pots, pans, any playable surface, really. It wasn't until age 20, however, that he finally bought his own kit. The coalition was instant harmony, and Ryan allowed himself to be assimilated by the rhythmic vibes of music ever since. Spending three years in the Edmonton, Alberta-formed PB's (which included a re-location for over a year to Courtenay, British Columbia), Ryan discovered what kind of a musician he was and what his next goal was. Midway through recording "RSVP", Ryan returned to Edmonton, and finished the album in the beginning of fall. He is extremely proud of this album, and is very grateful to all fans of his work. Ryan would especially like to thank "Dr. Robert" for his psychedelic contribution to the record, and to the Raving Poets society for their generous assistance in getting this record noticed. Currently, Ryan Coke is preparing for his entrance audition in the Music program at MacEwan College in Edmonton, AB. He is also working on completing his first poetry book, writing songs, and always keeping creative. Ryan sincerely hopes you enjoy "RSVP" as much as he enjoyed making it, and appreciates your continued support -- beware... be wary... of SPEKTERS... Cheers!
