This is NOT performance poetry
12:30 – 1:30 pm.
A quiet, contemplative selection of readings from haiku to the sonnet. This is the stripped-down Zen of poetry. A gentle way to start the day. No microphones. No p.a's. Just the human voice and a Buddha in the corner.
Lion's Breath Yoga Centre #206, 10350 - 124 Street Sarya Room
Three venues, presenting five-minute readings from Edmonton's premier poets. A chance to sample poetry in all it's voices and flavours and styles. Presenting poetry in places where poetry normally doesn't go. A democratic sampling of spoken word.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Raving Poets and party….
the meeting of Edmonton's poetry clans
7:30 p.m. (hosted by MC Gravel)
The Raving Poets strap on the flack jackets, string up the chicken wire and present poetry/spoken word with live music…and then we dance…. After a full day of verse, you'll have likely had your fill of poetry. Immediately following the Raving Poets performance there will be a massive party with food, dancing, and fellowshipping. Maybe even some nudity and rafter-swinging. Please join us! Kilts optional, but recommended. Caber toss optional!
