Born to Write, the Final Night!
Last week, we missed our illustrious host, Michael Gravel. To quote the bard, “Where is our usual manager of mirth?” (MSND, Act V, Sc. 1) Thankfully, the giant Eveready Bunny that is Jadon Rempel brought his fire bucket of caustic wit to M.C. the penultimate evening of Raving Poets: Born to Write. The night was filled, as the bard says, with “sugar’d words” (KHVI, Act III, Sc. 2), “sweet notes” (T&C, Act V, Sc. 10), “foaming bottles and ale-washed wits” (KHV, Act V, Sc. 6). Surely, one of the most stellar nights in the eight years of RP history.
But next week, next Wednesday, or as the bard says, “yonder” (MWW, Act II, Sc. 1), we have the final night of our fall 2008 series. And that is it, that’s all she wrote, till way the heck off in 2009. Your last chance to read! Your last chance to impress your friends with your erudition, your wit, your soulfulness, or as you-know-who says, “our worser genius” (T, Act IV, Sc. 1).
