RP10: Call for Yearbook Photos and Text!
As many of you know, Edmonton’s Raving Poets are celebrating 10 years of spoken word debauchery in 2010. As part of the fun we’re putting together a yearbook. If you have photos from any Raving Poets open mic nights, or from any other RPs spoken word event during this past inglorious decade (e.g., The Roar on 124), and you’d like to share them with the world, please email your digital images (or scans of old-fashioned prints), to laurie@ravingpoets.com .
Wherever possible please identify 1) any recognizable people in the photo and 2) where and when the photo was taken (e.g. “Walt Whitman, Pig Poetry Series, Backroom Vodka Bar, 2003” or “Emily Dickenson, Kasbar Lounge, Sofa King” etc.).
Also, feel free to send in anecdotes, reminiscences and short poems for inclusion in the yearbook. What has the Raving Poets meant to you? What was your most memorable moment at the Backroom or the Kasbar? We’d love to hear from you!
