Soft Self Calcify
The best thing I can do for you is break my pen
You withered
Signed away your dusty soul
I felt my way back to you through instrumental silences
But it has not been enough
Your candy shell was flooded in a glass of effervescent pop
And you have known us vultures
Inside open
Day doors creaking will wake you
And I will find it hard to love your canyon brain
A thick piece of meat
Already picked over
Your waking senses will put on backward armor
I’ll rush out
Take what I can
I will not become trapped inside the locket around your neck
As you lay quiet
And allow your soft self to calcify
