There's a war being waged all over
the planet
It's a crime against humanity
a war against common sense
against
evolution
a war against nature
against
the future
It's a war against even our most basic
instincts
a war that threatens the survival of the
species
a war over oil money
over
power
over
good and evil
in defense of the freedom...to
exploit other people
"The war is the war against the imagination"
a war of counter-intelligence
a war of attrition
against the human condition
turning
each other against ourselves
It's a conspiracy against the human spirit
that wastes
our creative energy
by reducing us all to mere "human resources"
telling lies for some faceless bureaucracy
Bound and gagged
in red tape for eight hours a day
brainwashed by the Big Lie (time is money)
routine
bombarded left and right with insane ideologies
screaming "all
aboard the war machine!"
Barraged by a montage of sound bytes and
images
hypnotized by
the prime time front line news
we can't even imagine reality any longer
let alone our own points of view
and as if that's not bad enough
the diabolical fundamentalists are rejoicing
for the holy
war at the end of the world
hell bent for
heaven on a suicide mission
with all
their gaudy standards unfurled
Our medieval world leaders are feeding
a witch hunt hysteria
as they wage
their Crusades with an Inquisition
fighting terror with paranoia
to reinforce their strategic positions
Meanwhile the real power brokers
(and their
gun running warlords)
the pharmaceutical drug traffickers and
transnational thieves
have made a charade of democracy
and turned free
trade into a religion of slaves
It's time to get with a different program
and imagine our
way out of this cult of greed
Let's stop fortifying the strongholds
of corporate feudalism
and start building
a future we can live with

to each according to her needs"
