COMES THE RAIN

She blew fresh breezes
Into my mouth
On a kiss that left my past
Begging in the dust

A kiss that dared Galileo
To realign the cosmos
Into something suitably Aquarian

It spoke in minted moments
Asking if my heart
Had a partner
For the next dance

Mine were lips
Lost in the desiccating
Storms of uncertainty

Mine a tongue
Knowing only the ridged boundaries
Of it's own mouth

Until she blew fresh breezes
That brought the rain of my redemption
The rain of my release
