How
I Remember You
Pale skin
Skeletal form
Expressive eyes
Tears condensed in a jar upon your hidden shelf
The glass is chipping away
Erratic hand motions
As speed pulsates through your hyperactive veins
Street lamp trance
Orgiastic rap core escape
A tattoo on your chest
Of a dagger and a drop of blood
How many more drops have fallen in this place?
How many more will these things overtake?
I see your frail body shake
Beneath this street lamp haze of night
How many more flickering lights will fade?
Across the cold expanse of night
Sadistic nails rake
I perceived your shaking light
Elusive beauty, narrow escape
Your form and face have faded
Your spirit taken flight
