Helpless in These Chains
A dark mandala of demon dreams
Overpowers your consciousness
This hell in all it's glory
Is for you alone to see
You lose your footing
Your head aches
Craving the abuse
Pulse inside your skull
Dragging you into oblivion
Your voice leads me back in time
To that night
We explored each other frantically
Disconnected, hungry for the spirit world
Your hair reflected moonlight streaming through the window
A fusion of cocaine delusion
Wrapped around us, shrouded in paradox
That night is one I've been running from ever since
Searching for relief
From the moment when I caught a glimpse of my own
Glassy eyed, trembling death
Now you stand before me
A pale siren, vague hunger in your eyes of red
If your wings catch flame and turn to ash
How will you fly away from this?
Your vapor prison of color and form
Helpless in these chains, you writhe
Choking on the things you have taught yourself
Not to see
