It is sometimes forgottenThat such icons
Were built almost entirely
on the foundations of dreams.

His life entwined to the very end with his art.
As soon as he ceased to be a cartoonist
He ceased to be.
Is there a person today
Whose heart has not been touched
in some way by the most
magnificent creator of dreams
there ever was?
30 years of creation
Passing of pneumonia
In May of 1990
He who left his touch on the world
Every creation he spawned
Holds a different meaning to everyone
who sees it
Whatever you see in his work
there's always heart
You have brought smiles to the
faces of young and old alike
I hope you have found your
"Rainbow Connection"
I hope you've said your "Good Grief"
one last time
So we can continue on using your legacy
If you're out there
you've touched my heart in many ways
You continue to live on through me
I'll not forget the message of
hard work and dedication to doing
something you loved
I thank you both Jim and Charles
For the memories of my childhood
and the memories
I continue to create
