Dream

My mom said, "You're going to love living in Montreal",
but I couldn't see myself living there. Then again,
I couldn't see myself living here either.
From what I can remember.

The family's 4 year old son had amazing psychic abilites.
He played my favourite song on the piano,
without having heard it beforehand.
Black hair, dark features, and a rounded frame.

Atop a hill, around the corner, and in the middle of a park sat a Tim Horton's.
On my way up the hill I encountered a disassembled being.
He seemed kind from what I can remember.
Large brown eyes inside his mask of a face.
I was led away from him.

A very gentle homeless man helped me ever so slightly, but just enough up the hill.
I began driving at the top, making my way through a quiet part of town.
When I came to a red light, there was a man busking on my left.
Bell Orchestre quieted down in the kitchen.

It was fairly dark out, but everything seemed illuminated,
and hauntingly beautiful.
In this hushed moment, the busker got on a bicycle
and rode straight ahead, into the busy part of town.
Just a few blocks away, I'll remember.
